Would you care to take a mini medical-school seminar from the comfort of your home -- or anywhere you carry your laptop? University of California Television offers such a session on fascia, a topic relevant to all athletes.
Fascia (connective tissue) helps muscles communicate. The UCT video explains how to keep this important part of your body supple to improve mobility and decrease pain. You can access the video through YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=raCBeQ-gXfs Thanks to Coach Rick Riddle for researching the topic and passing along this info. Used the information regarding "trigger points" to work on a chronic left shoulder issue. Had been treating the pain location rather than the source, attacking the trigger point at the back of my neck/shoulder has really helped.
